Halyard introduces newest member to water separator family at
the London International Boat Show –Stand S6J
Halyard, Europe’s largest designer and
manufacturer of specialist marine exhaust systems is launching its
new MS5000 water separator range at this year’s London Boat Show,
on Stand S6J.
The MS5000 will replace Halyard’s popular
MS500 model, and is being introduced to the range as ‘smaller
brother’ to the MS7500. The MS5000 has been specifically designed
to cater for the two inch exhaust systems on both generators and
propulsion engines, ensuring that noise reduction of up to 80% is
achieved, negating the characteristic “splosh, splosh” of
generators running at night on nearby boats. The range will cover
exhausts from 45mm (1.75”) to 63mm (2.5”). It retails at a
competitive price of £150.
James Grazebrook, Managing Director at Halyard
says, “The MS500 has been a hugely successful product for Halyard
and has been fitted to over 25,000 generators, reducing exhaust
noise by more than 75%. However, times move on and our developments
in separator technology combined with simplified manufacturing
processes, has led to the creation of a modern looking unit with a
better performance, at a very competitive cost. Several companies
have copied the original Halyard separator launched ten years ago,
and the new MS5000 drives us a firm step ahead once again.”
