Sailing and boating is front page and lifestyle section content, not just sports page news. Think of how much space in tabloid newspapers and celebrity magazines is devoted to luxury yacht owners and the guests on their floating palaces.

GB Olympic strength in water sport events and Sir Ben Ainslie’s subsequent America’s Cup success have encouraged interest and active participation from the general public through to corporate and industry leaders. Sports in and on the water are higher in the public consciousness at many different levels of interest and engagement.

In January 2016 the London Boat Show will share ExCeL with the Telegraph Travel Show and the Telegraph Cruise Show. A universal ticket for all three events gives a projected total audience of 125,000 visitors skewed to an affluent audience with levels of disposable income significantly above average.
