Description

Space more akin to that of a 40-foot yacht and a sporty but safe sailing performance that you would expect from a modern racing yacht – this description is merely part of the CRUISER 37's features. The whole truth is that she is an extremely fast cruising yacht with exceptionally large space below deck. The comfortable 2-cabin version CRUISER 37 can accommodate four people. Behind the spacious head hides a storage locker the size of a small garage. The 3-cabin version can accommodate crews of up to six people.

The below deck space of the CRUISER 37 is substantial in both the 2- and 3-cabin version. The galley has a double sink and large work surfaces for preparing food and the crew can easily have friends over to dine with them at the large saloon table. In the 2-cabin version the navigation area is located on the port side. In the 3-cabin version, this space is required for the head; here a small but flexible navigation area is provided for at the foot of the starboard bench in the saloon.

The BAVARIA product managers collaborated with designers from the US company Farr Yacht Design to develop an extremely powerful sail plan and an optimal arrangement of all fittings and trimming options for the CRUISER 37, which every owner can have adapted to his personal sailing style during construction. The genoa tracks for the sheet block positions of the headsail are mounted far inside on the structure on a CRUISER 37 in order to ensure the best possible angle to the wind. The sails of the CRUISER 37 are from Elvström Sails in Denmark and have been specially developed to meet BAVARIA's exacting requirements. You have a choice of different sails: from Dacron sails right up to sails made from the high performance EPEX membrane, depending on your personal needs and sailing style.

There are significant forces acting on the hull of a sailing yacht – and these have to be captured and redirected. In collaboration with specialists from Farr Yacht Design, BAVARIA's design and production team work out an individual load profile for every yacht, from which they later derive laminate plans and reinforcements. The focus is on a stable bulkhead, which also manages the forces acting on a CRUISER 37. Precisely fitted into the hull to the nearest millimetre, it is securely glued to the hull across a large area. Particularly strong keel bolts ensure a force-fit to the keel – twice as many as is usual in yacht construction.
