Navico announces new Marketing Director for EMEA
Navico, the world’s leading manufacturer of
marine electronics for the leisure market, has announced the
appointment of Jim Deheer to the role of Marketing Director for the
EMEA region.
Deheer’s previous role with Navico was as
marketing manager for the UK and Ireland, a post which he held for
eighteen months following a move from the Swedish company Silva,
and in all he has over thirteen years of experience in the marine
electronics sector.
With responsibility for overseeing the
marketing operations across the key Europe, Middle East and Africa
region, Jim will ensure the fulfilment of the 2009 marketing
strategy, managing pan-regional marketing and promotional
activities. The appointment is part of a recent
reorganisation of Navico EMEA headquarters that included the
movement of the EMEA marketing department from Oslo in Norway to
Romsey, UK, where Deheer and his new team will be based.
“I welcome the challenge of marketing the
Navico brands and their products to the EMEA consumer base,” says
Deheer. “We have a range of new products for 2009 that is
simply second to none, and while the present economic circumstances
mean that we have to work harder than ever before, I am confident
that we have all that we need to further increase our market share
and consolidate our reputation as global leader in the sector.”
Jens-Thomas Pietralla, president and CEO of
Navico, says: “I am delighted to welcome Jim to this important
role. He has the enthusiasm and experience to significantly
boost our presence in the EMEA marketplace, and help ensure that
the Navico brands are rightly recognised as the undisputed leaders
in their respective sectors.”
