New Flybridge 42 to Take Centre Stage for
Trader
London International Boat Show 2009,
9th-18th January
Stand S21A
The Tarquin Boat Company, designers and
manufacturers of Trader motoryachts, will be showing the new
flybridge version from its best selling Trader 42 series at the
London International Boat. Following the successful launch of the
Trader 42 and Trader 42 Sportdeck in 2007, the Trader 42 Signature
is the last of the three Trader 42 variants to be launched by
Tarquin and is marked out by many new design features. A two-cabin
Trader 42 with a standard aft deck will also be on display
alongside the Signature to demonstrate the many options available
on the 42 series.
The Trader 42 was designed from the start with
the three model variants in mind, with the Signature performing and
handling just like her smaller siblings. In fact, the
flybridge adds just 5% to the displacement of a standard Trader 42.
Features include a new centre console flybridge helm; the model on
display also features an inner helm position, and a full height,
two panel sliding door to access the saloon, which is a unique
aspect on an aft cabin cruiser of this size. The aft deck is
sheltered by an integrated canopy, which when coupled with the
sociable flybridge, gives the Signature the versatility of a much
larger craft.
The Signature on display will feature three
cabins; however there are two internal layouts to choose from
across the series with a choice of either two or three cabins. The
palatial owners’ suite is located aft for space and privacy and the
distinctive Trader transom “bay view” window gives optimum light
and offers a superb view. Forward, guests are treated to equal
luxury and in the two-cabin layout, there is a full sized double
cabin with a fully equipped head. The three-cabin version has a
twin cabin forward, a bunk cabin to port and a guest head with a
separate shower to starboard.
Tarquin will also be showing a Trader 42 which
features a standard aft deck and a two cabin layout. This version
also features a hinged mast that can be lowered giving it a reduced
air-draft of 3.5m and making it the first Trader to access the
upper reaches of the Thames and the extensive inland waterways of
mainland Europe.
The Trader 42 series has been designed in
collaboration with leading naval architect, Tony Castro and all
models feature sleek exterior styling, ‘home from home’ interiors
and state of the art systems.
