TERMS AND CONDITIONS

 

TICKETS

1. Tickets are not refundable.
2. Visitors will not be allowed admission to this Show without a valid ticket.
3. Tickets cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer.
4. Presentation of the ticket for admission constitutes acceptance of the terms and conditions upon which NBS, the Organiser, is prepared to grant entry
5. Up to 2 children (15 or under) may accompany an adult ticket holder free of charge but each child must have a child ticket for admission obtained either in advance or from cashiers at the Main Show entrance.
6. Tickets can not be refunded, exchanged, transferred, nor should they be resold for commercial gain.
7. For public safety, the Organiser reserves the right to refuse admission and may conduct security searches.
8. The Organisers reserve the right to alter or vary the content or timing of the whole or any part of the Show due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control without obligation to refund or exchange tickets.
9. The Organisers cannot accept financial or other responsibility for any loss or liability incurred by the public at the Show arising as a result of contracts entered into by visitors with any exhibitor or advice sought or obtained from any exhibitor, or any loss or damage to personal property brought into the Show.
10. Visitors may be filmed or recorded for broadcast or security purposes during the Show.
11. The distribution of leaflets or any other advertising material or the sale of articles anywhere within the Exhibition premises is strictly forbidden without prior written permission from the Organisers, and who also reserve the right at their absolute discretion to confiscate such articles for infringement of this condition.
12. Re-admission into the Show is possible by the issue of a wristband from Show security at the entrances.

KIDS GO FREE

1. Up to two children 15 and under can gain access to the Show with every adult ticket presented except for premium tickets such as the Platinum or Ladies day tickets.
2. All kids entering the show must have a ticket. To ensure you get your free allocation you must either order in advance via website or the call centre. Alternatively if you turn up at the gate you may be issued a child ticket/s on entry

 

PHOTOGRAPHIC COMPETITION

1. Closing date: Friday 12th December 2008 (midday)
2. The prize draw is open to UK residents aged 18 years and over
3. Only one entry per person
4. Entry to the draw is free and no purchase is necessary.
5. Prize Winners will be drawn and notified by Friday 19th December 2008.
6. Winners will be drawn at random and notified by post & email following the closing date.
7. The prizes must be taken as stated and there are no cash alternatives.
8. No responsibility will be taken for entries lost or damaged.
9. The judge's decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
10. The draw is not open to members of the BMF or NBS their families or any person involved directly with the organisation or third parties.
11. You must have the rights to distribute the photo submitted and do not infringe any copyright or infringements laws.
12. Entry of your photographs implies that NBS can use the images for future promotional and advertising use and for both the London International and PSP Southampton Boat Shows.
13. Entry implies acceptance of these rules.

DESIGN A SAIL

1. Closing date: Friday 31st October 2008 (midnight)
2. The prize draw is open to UK residents aged 8 -18 years of age.
3. Only one entry per person
4. Entry to the draw is free and no purchase is necessary.
5. Prize Winners will be drawn and notified by 21st November 2008.
6. Winners will be drawn at random and notified by post & email following the closing date.
7. The prizes must be taken as stated and there are no cash alternatives.

10. The draw is not open to members of the BMF or NBS their families or any person involved directly with the organisation or third parties.

12. Colour palette shown on the colouring sheet are the only ones that can be used for this competition.
13. Only the first two winning designs will be made into sails for the London International Boat Show 2009.
14. The child’s name and identity registered for this competition will only be used for promotional purposes in relation to this promotion and will not be used by third parties or further promotional opportunities.

First Prize:

1. 1 x winner (Under 16 years) 1 x winner (Over 16 years) – 2 courses in total
2. Prize consists of 1 x Rockley Watersports: 5-day RYA dinghy sailing course for at Rockley Point in Poole, Dorset. Worth £640.
3. Winners must be 8 years old and above.
4. Prize valid until 30th September 2009.
5. Not to be used in conjunction with any other Rockley Watersports offer.
6. Prize does not include lunch, travel to the centre or accommodation.

Runners Up:

HENRI LLOYD CROATIA HOLIDAY

1. The prize is for two people sharing a Sea View Room, with daily breakfast and one jet ski ride per person.
2. The prize is subject to availability and must be taken within the validity dates from 1 January to 31 July 2009 excluding 12 to 16 January 2009 and 16 to 19 June 2009. State/local taxes are included.
3. Gratuities, other incidentals and travel insurance are not included, the latter is strongly advised.
4. Prior reservation is required when booking the hotel. Blackout dates may apply.
5. The prize includes two return economy class air tickets from London to Split Airport.
6. Transfers to/from hotel and airport will be at the expense of the prizewinner.
7. Flights cannot be used in conjunction with any air mile redemption schemes or discount vouchers.
8. All travel is subject to the airlines terms and conditions and as stated on each ticket or itinerary provided. Flights do not include any domestic flights. Additional flight taxes and surcharges are not included.
9. The prize is non-combinable, non transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash equivalent.
10. Prize winners are responsible for their own valid passport.
11. If the winner does not choose an accompanying travel partner the remainder of the prize will be forfeited. Both travellers must travel together.
12. Prize winner must present prize voucher on arrival at the hotel.
13. Closing date for the prize draw is 31st January 2009.
14. The winner will be drawn at random and notified in writing by 31st January 2009.

CLIPPER ROUND THE WORLD YACHT RACE

1. By entering this competition, you accept and agree to these terms and conditions, without reservation.

2. Entry is open to UK residents only except employees of National Boat Shows, Clipper Ventures Plc, their families, agents or anyone contracted to or in communication with Clipper Ventures Plc regarding Clipper 09-10 Round the World Yacht Race.

3. Due to insurance restrictions only those aged between 18 and 69 may enter. Further, the winners (see condition 6) will be required to provide a statement of pre-existing medical conditions. If insurance cover cannot be provided as a result of this statement, the Promoter reserves the right to choose an alternative winner or to withdraw the prize. Should a winner be pregnant and be within three months of their expected date of confinement at any stage of the provision of the prize, Clipper Ventures will withdraw the prize from such entrant/winner.

4. Entrants should answer the qualifying question, complete an entry form and post it in the entry box situated on stand N36L at the 2009 London International Boat Show. The entry should include your full name, address and telephone number. All entries shall remain the property of Clipper Ventures Plc and they will not be returned.

5. The closing time for entries each day of the 2009 London International Boat Show (9-18 January 2009) is 5pm. The winner, drawn from the correct entries, will be announced at 5.30pm on each of those days. Entries submitted after 5pm will be entered for the following day’s draw, except on Sunday 18 January when entries submitted after the 5pm closing time shall not be counted.

6. The winner, drawn from those entrants who have submitted the correct answer to the qualifying question, will win a berth on a Big Boat Sailing course, provided by Clipper Training and accredited by the Royal Yachting Association (RYA).

7. The decision of the judges is final in all matters relating to this competition.

8. The winners may be required to participate in publicity.

9. A maximum of ten entries per person may be submitted, however the prize may only be won once.

10. The winners will be notified within two weeks of the closing date of the competition if they are not present on stand N36L when the draw takes place at 5.30pm. The names and counties of the winners can be obtained by sending a SAE marked ‘Boat Show Competition Winners’ to Communications Department, Clipper Ventures Plc, 1a Granary & Bakery, Weevil Lane, Royal Clarence Marina, Gosport, Hampshire PO12 1FXbetween January 19 and February 16, 2009.

11. The prize includes a Big Boat Sailing course from Clipper Training. Accommodation on board, food, oil skins and life jacket will be provided throughout the training. Courses run Sunday to Sunday.

The prize does not include compulsory insurance, travel in the UK, personal expenditure or other incidental costs other than those mentioned.

12. The winning entrant will be required to provide a doctor's certificate as proof that they are fit and able to participate in the prize. The winner shall also be required to sign an agreement confirming that they are in good health and have good fitness levels.

13. Should a winning entrant be unable to participate in any part of the prize or fail to meet the criteria set out in these terms and conditions, the Clipper Ventures reserves the right to award that entrant's prize to another entrant.

14. The prize is non-transferable and subject to availability. There is no cash alternative.

15. The prize as described is available on the date of the competition. Events may occur that render the competition itself or the awarding of the prize impossible due to reasons beyond the control of Clipper Ventures and accordingly Clipper Ventures may at its absolute discretion vary or amend the promotion and entrants agree that no liability shall attach to Clipper Ventures as a result thereof.

16. These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and the English courts shall have exclusive jurisdiction in relation to any disputes arising in relation to the prize draw or these terms and conditions.
